It is actaully like a hat box....in a weird shaped way. The lid is on the back. It makes for a great carry/play/storage case.Now I see it listed at over $40. Honestly, why I really think it is a great product, I would not pay that. We paid under $20 for it. It is a Target Exclusive, so buying it here on Amazon will cost more. It has to be bought once through Target, and then resold online. Yes there will be a markup, but if you don't have a Target store in your region, then this is a viable solution. THe going price for this is typically $19.99, so you have to consider the cost of gas, going out and using your time to travel, eating out away from home, etc. It may or may not be worth it to you to save the time. I have seen Amazon price this set cheaper than the $42 it goes for at the time of this review, so I will even admit that the price seems absurdly high. Again, go for a local find if it's available to you. I have found these on clearance at my local Target for very low prices.The content is pretty straight forward. Hasbro made a paper castle!, This review is from: My Little Pony Exclusive Playset Celebration at Canterlot Castle Includes Twilight Sparkle Starbeam Twilight (Toy) If you haven't noticed, the title of this review is sarcastic. Hasbro could have hit it big with a castle playset, but nope, they decided to make the entire castle out of cardboard and tape and the accessories are repacked G3 accessories. The ponies included are a shine bright Twilight Sparkle (horn lights up) and a random pink unicorn with aqua green hair named Starbeam Twinkle.But honestly, I couldn't care less about the playset, I got it solely for the shine bright Twilight Sparkle. The box and all the accessories just sit in my desk drawer along with all the other accessories I don't use. Both ponies have glitter/tinsel in their hair and it is ANNOYING (a pain in the @**) when trying to style their hair as it just curls and frizzes everywhere. I spent over an hour going through Twilight's hair with a set of tweezers pulling out every strand of tinsel and it can now be styled like regular pony hair.
